Founded by John Graham in 2011, we’re an award-winning family-run business with a proud heritage of craftsmanship, supported by a team of highly skilled cabinet makers. Our furniture is meticulously built at our state-of-the-art workshop in Surrey.
We utilise cutting-edge CNC machinery to ensure precision in every detail, and we construct our furniture using only premium quality materials and hardware from world-leading brands. Over the past 30 years, John and his team have supplied and installed thousands of custom wardrobes and alcove cabinets, earning DIY Alcove Cabinets the reputation as the “UK’s Alcove Cabinet Experts.”
Our Story: How We Made Bespoke Fitted Furniture Affordable
During the 2008 credit crunch, cabinet maker John Graham saw a need for affordable, made-to-measure furniture. Customers wanted to cut costs without sacrificing quality, and John recognised that offering a “supply only” option could meet that demand.
John explains: “Installation and painting are the most labour-intensive parts of the process. By doing these themselves, customers can save thousands compared to having everything built, installed, and painted from scratch. That’s why I launched DIY Alcove Cabinets, offering premium quality affordable, supply-only fitted furniture.”
DIY Alcove Cabinets handles the complex parts: we provide design consultancy and manufacture the furniture to your specifications. We then deliver it in a simple, flat-pack format, complete with everything needed to fit and finish it at home. And if you’re not confident or short on time, hiring a local carpenter can still save you a significant amount of money.
Today, our team delivers hundreds of alcove cabinets, wardrobes, media units, and bookcases to homes across the country.
