As a responsible company, DIY Alcove Cabinets is committed to minimising our impact on the Environment. We do this in several ways:
Materials
We only use materials certified by The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). The FSC logo on a wood or wood-based product certifies it is made with, or contains, wood from FSC certified forests or from post-consumer waste. Our customers can rest assured their DIY Alcove Cabinets will not be harming the world’s forests.
Suppliers
We only partner with suppliers who recognise their environmental responsibilities.
Waste
Our waste is minimised by sheet material optimisation software and is sorted ready for collection by Chambers Recycling Waste Management.
Packaging
Where possible we use packaging that can be recycled.
Workshop
Our state of the art workshop uses only LED lighting and even our toilets have eco minimum water use flush.
Machinery
Our machines are manufactured and supplied by Masterwood and the Homag Group. The machines all come equipped with ecoPlus technology. ecoPlus encompasses a whole raft of innovations designed to save energy. On top of this, ecoPlus helps to reduce CO2 emissions and so also plays a part in protecting the environment.
