Straight Forward Installation
On average, installing a pair of DIY Alcove Cabinets takes approximately a day to fit and another day to paint. By following some basic rules like “measure twice, cut once,” you’ll be well on your way to a perfect installation.
It’s unlikely you’ll make a mistake, but if you do don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! We keep all your cabinet details on file, so just get in touch, and we’ll send you any replacement parts at cost price.
Tips for a Perfect Installation
- Prepare Your Workspace: Ensure you have a clean, flat surface to work on. Protect floors and nearby furniture with dust sheets, especially when cutting or sanding (preferably done outside).
- Cut-Out Tips: For holes for wires or plug sockets, cut them on-site during installation. We recommend using a hole saw, readily available at any DIY store, to create a perfectly sized opening for a neat, professional finish.
- Use Masking Tape for a Clean Cut: When using a jigsaw, apply masking tape along the cutting line to prevent chipping and create a clean edge.
